The official 1.0.009r patch notes list the Guitar Legend and MyPod firmware-update bug as fixed. On a current build, old advice to wait for that patch is stale. Confirm your version before diagnosing the quest or device state.

  • Check Steam's Downloads view for a pending update.
  • Do not use an old demo save as proof of final-release behavior.

Run the diagnostic in order

    Update beyond the launch build

    Install 1.0.009r or later. The official patch log is the controlling current source.

  2. 02

    Restart the device workflow

    Return to the device after the update and retry the firmware stage from its normal task state.

  3. 03

    Separate stale bug advice from a new blocker

    If the same named devices still fail, capture the device, current version and the last successful step. That is a new report, not evidence that 1.0.009r never shipped.

  4. 04

    Escalate with reproducible details

    Use tinyBuild support and include a short video plus the Restory data folder requested by support.
